The wait is over… the MMO Durango: Wild Lands is now available...
A while back, at the tip of 2016, we had the opportunity to try the first closed beta of Durango: Wild Lands, a survival MMO where you have to thrive on an archipelago of islands packed with dinosaurs. After a few more tests and the final release in Asia, a new English version of the game was recently released that can now be enjoyed on Android without any geographic restrictions.
The game from NEXON has been enormously publicized, and in fact, it’s currently one of the most profitable games from the company. Until now, the version that’s currently available was a soft launch limited to Indonesia, with the incentive that English was one of the available languages. But now, the game has been released globally with the exceptions of the United States, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Thailand, Japan, and China.
The game has you explore huge islands whereas you defeat wild beasts and collect raw materials to form higher instrumentation, and improve your own shelter. Now, it's going to sound easy on paper, but the interaction possibilities are enormous given the wide variety of tools you can create and crafts you can learn. Using contextual menus, you can interact with the elements you find, while making sure you pay special attention to your food, fatigue, and even your personal hygiene. Beyond that, the time period PvP and PvE combats square measure typical, creating the sport feel somewhat less automatized than different similar games.
In some aspects, you could feel like you’re playing a sort of Last Day on Earth on steroids, but in reality, this game has much more to offer. Whats! Studio, the development company under the sponsorship of NEXON, has been working on the project for three years, and this is clear in the both the production values as well as the depth of the storyline. While it may be the umpteenth freemium MMO that we’ve see on the platform, its mechanics are so well-oiled and satisfactory that it’ll be a long time before you want to put this game down.
